Why is it so many trustees switch off when it comes to the financial part of the agenda?
Parkinson’s Point of Vanishing Interest.

Thanks to winning the inaugural CFG Adrian Randall prize, I have been working on a project to produce management accounts which all trustees will understand, free from jargon, in a format which will tell the financial story.

I’ve just published the first conclusions of the project (courtesy of the Charity Finance Group). You can read them here. I’m very grateful to the many people who have taken the time to discuss the problem with me and share their thoughts and management accounts. I’m particularly grateful to the trustees of the Phyllis Stein Arts Centre (you know who you are).

Phyllis (were she alive) and I would be thrilled to receive lots of feedback to help the next stage of the project. What bits do you agree with? What do you not like? What have I left out? Will it work? What should be the next panto? Use the contact form below to let me know.
